Olaf Petersen has joined Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA) as its new gross sales and advertising VP, efficient July 1.
Petersen might be liable for the new-vehicle gross sales portfolio for Mercedes-Benz Vans and Fuso within the Southern Africa area.
His appointment follows the promotion of his predecessor, Maretha Gerber, to DTSA president and group CEO earlier within the 12 months.
Petersen holds levels in engineering and enterprise from universities in Germany, the UK and Spain. He joined Daimler in 1998.
Over the previous 26 years he was liable for varied roles in gross sales, service, advertising, product administration and body-builder administration throughout Mercedes-Benz Vans, Mercedes-Benz Vans and Mercedes-Benz Buses in Germany, Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, the US and the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier than his transfer to South Africa, he headed up gross sales and advertising for Mercedes-Benz Vans and Fuso at Daimler Truck Center East and Africa in Dubai.
