Pretoria – Police have arrested a second senior municipal official from the Metropolis of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality on suspicion of fraud and corruption.
“The 40-year-old senior official was arrested this morning on Sunday, 19 April 2026, in Johannesburg,” mentioned police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe.
He faces expenses of fraud, corruption, and defeating and or obstructing the ends of justice.
The primary senior official to be arrested from the identical metropolitan municipality on comparable expenses was nabbed on Saturday, 18 April 2026.
