EAC Secretary Normal Veronica Mueni Nduva, who formally opened the assembly, highlighted the historic context and significance of the roadmap for Somalia’s integration into the bloc. Nduva mentioned Somalia turned a full member of the EAC in March after formally depositing its instrument of ratification of the Treaty of Accession with the EAC secretary basic in Arusha, Tanzania.
