Uganda Airways has introduced plans to launch new flights to Nigeria, Zambia, and Zimbabwe beginning September 2024. This growth marks the second part of the airline’s community growth technique.
Flights to Abuja, Nigeria, will start on September 12, working twice weekly with an A330-800 plane. This enhances present companies to Lagos. From September 25, the airline will introduce 4 weekly flights to Lusaka, Zambia, and Harare, Zimbabwe, utilizing CRJ-900 plane.
CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki emphasised that these additions will improve connectivity throughout Africa, facilitating enterprise, commerce, tourism, and cultural exchanges. The growth is a part of Uganda Airways’ 10-year plan to attach East, West, North, and South Africa.
The brand new routes be a part of the airline’s present locations, together with Nairobi, Johannesburg, Dubai, and Mumbai. As Uganda Airways approaches its fifth anniversary in August 2024, this growth goals to enhance plane utilisation, create a sturdy community supporting long-haul routes, and place the airline for future profitability.
