The Financial Group of West African States (ECOWAS) and the United Nations Excessive Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have introduced plans to reinforce their collaboration with the ECOWAS Everlasting Representatives Council (PRC).
This effort goals to implement sustainable options for pressured displacement within the West African area.
This initiative was formally launched in the course of the ECOWAS Ambassadors’ Retreat, held from Could 31 to June 1, 2024, in Rivers State, Nigeria.
The retreat targeted on enhancing safety for refugees, internally displaced individuals (IDPs), and stateless people, in addition to figuring out options to the challenges of pressured displacement within the area.
