EAC Secretary Common Veronica Mueni Nduva, who formally opened the assembly, highlighted the historic context and significance of the roadmap for Somalia’s integration into the bloc. Nduva mentioned Somalia grew to become a full member of the EAC in March after formally depositing its instrument of ratification of the Treaty of Accession with the EAC secretary common in Arusha, Tanzania.
