4th Japan-North Africa College Summit Highlights Educational Collaboration
On July 10, 2024, the 4th Japan-North Africa College Summit, co-organized by the College of Tsukuba, College of Carthage, College of Tunis El Manar, and College of Sousse, was held at Lodge El Mouradi Gammarth, Tunisia, with assist from Tunisia’s Ministry of Larger Training and Scientific Analysis.
The summit gathered 80 individuals, together with representatives from eight Japanese universities, 13 North African universities, and consultant from Nigeria. It centered on enhancing institutional analysis collaboration and tutorial exchanges between Japan and North Africa.
Opening remarks have been delivered by College of Tsukuba President Prof. NAGATA Kyosuke and College of Carthage President Prof. Nadia Mzoughi. Japanese Ambassador to Tunisia, H.E. Mr. OSUGA Takeshi, and Tunisian Minister of Larger Training, H.E. Dr. Moncef Boukthir, shared their views on tutorial alternate.
Classes included:
• Session I: Ms. MIYATA Mayumi, Chief Consultant of JICA Tunisia Workplace, launched technical cooperation initiatives in Tunisia, adopted by worldwide analysis case experiences.
• Session II: Mr. KATO Yuji, Supervisor in control of JST SATREPS, offered an outline of SATREPS, adopted by college displays on joint analysis proposals.
• Session III: ARENA celebrated its twentieth anniversary with displays on its function and future initiatives.
The summit concluded with Vice President Moez Khnissi from College of Sousse expressing gratitude to individuals, and Dr. Mohamed Moncef Harrabi, Advisor of College of Tsukuba’s Tunis Workplace, studying the joint assertion.
The summit goals to strengthen institutional cooperation to deal with regional and international challenges and maintain tutorial exchanges and joint analysis initiatives.
